Its has been a long time since my last post.
A lot has happened over the past months since my last post. Plus with the temporary shut down of Ragnaboards
Lets start with this past 2 weekends.
Our church did a Café and Arts nights, complete with the red carpet paparazzi treatment.
Only members of the committee who organized the café night had assigned lists of what to bring.
This being one of the MOST successful café night we had, having around 300 guests since 4-9pm I guess not all of the organizers had a correct guess on how much supply of drinks should they accommodate for that number. Not to mention you have 14-16 year olds running the barista who was putting way too much Ice on the ice lattes made us run out of the much needed water and ice we need.
I ended up spending round 2000P on re-supplying the whole bar of needed juice, syrup, water, ice and even the whipp cream.
My good friend Terrilyn was one of the organizers was too busy with the performance stage to back me up. Lumox was in a Bday party and Mike was rapping as part of the stage performances.
On an end note things went well in the end. But I was exhausted and broke so I just went straight home afterwards after taking a few pictures with the gang.
Then comes this weekend. Apparently Terri was somehow entered in this cooking competition Iron Chef Style, however the organizers DID NOT inform her that she was to compete. She basically drag me to help, she was to be main chef.
Except Ernie who gave us Aprons but he was part of the rival team so he cant really be with us
- They said we have stoves but later told us we were to provide our own.
- We were the total underdogs, with this jerk coming up to our booth telling us we didn’t have a chance.
Some how we were able to pull things out, We were able to buy a cheap portable stove and Lumox gave us the needed prop tent to shade us from the heat.
We finished first, salmon was very easy. But we were last to be judged. A lot of the crowd were awaiting for the judges to finish their taste test, the crowd was allowed to partake of the gormet meal, especially since ours was salmon a favorite of guests
We didn’t win, but even the judged noticed that the original team DID not supported us ( though they were lingering at our booth when the winners announcement was beginning) And the judge announced how sad it was to see the lack of support while the other teams had 6 people in the team.
